This project was procured through the Pagabo Framework and involved a number of significant refurbishment, remodelling, and upgrade jobs. Key work included enhancing the security and aesthetics of the front-of-house reception area, and the removal of a first floor concrete pedestrian link bridge. We were also tasked with delivering new meeting facilities, a new reception desk with increased security features, and upgrading the existing accessible WC.
The enhanced and improved security features that we installed for the client included new full-height pedestrian barriers, access controls, CCTV, and secure automated entrance doors. The decorative and aesthetic work included installing a pitched ceiling with windows and frames, laying a ceramic tile floor with feature panels, and creating an open plan meeting area with feature timber panels.
Works include
M&E • Window & Floor Installation • Refurbishment • Remodelling • Security Upgrades
“The Morris & Spottiswood team have been great to work with. They have been responsive to our needs and have been very helpful – we were impressed with how quickly they have responded to problems. We were particularly impressed with how they came up with design solutions to progress the scheme at Hull and found the teams commitment, knowledge, and experience to be of a high standard. We are looking forward to developing further our working relationships on other schemes”

Projects of this scale impact a wide range of stakeholders within the client organisation and keeping them informed at all times was essential. To ensure that our stakeholder communications ran smoothly and efficiently, we held stakeholder workshops with key representatives within the organisation. These took place both before the project began and throughout the construction phase. We also needed to keep on-site staff and contractors up to date regarding changes to site set up, so we held daily briefings to ensure everyone was fully informed and aware of any changes which could impact them and their safety.
