As a family founded firm we have always considered our impact as a business wholeheartedly– for our people, our clients and our communities. We want to use our power to create positive impacts and that is embedded in our processes– from our approach to our execution.
Together we can
make the change

We put sustainability at the heart of everything we do, working with our clients to incorporate sustainable solutions into their projects as well as progressing our own goals to improve our environmental impact as a business. From low carbon technology and monitoring our supply chain to efficient off-site fabrication, we consider sustainability each and every step of the way.
As a business, we have a responsibility to ensure our impact on the planet is positive. Through ou rwork with the Carbon Disclosure Project and Achilles Carbon Reduce scheme, we are employing the Greenhouse Gas Protocol to develop a decarbonisation plan – measuring, reporting and monitoring our carbon impact to build principal steps into our net zero trajectory. This considers emissions from every part of our business, from our own corporate spaces to the materials we use, even the use of project environments overtime. It is about our future, as a business, as a community, as a people. That is why we are making changes now, together with our clients and partners,to make sure that we reach our environmental goals.
Adding value,
through living
our values
Our social value is grounded in listening. Understanding how we can use our power and influence to facilitate opportunities for the communities we work in and the people who live within them. The definition of value must come from the communities we are working within; therefore, we adopt a collaborative approach to any impact we look to create including early-engagement with the right people, co-designing interventions that target desired outcomes, and meaningful governance enabling the community to decide the value achieved.
Sustainable Growth
To utilise and develop our existing plans to support the sustainable growth and capacity of local economies.
This includes working with our staff, suppliers, internal business partners, community stakeholders and education providers to identify and develop sustainable opportunities for local economies from developing career pathways to ensuring local spend on projects.
Inclusive Opportunities
Supporting local communities to enhance their inclusive growth agendas.
This includes embedding equality, diversity and inclusion learning across the business as well as improving access to the sector by creating vital pathways and support programmes to create opportunities for marginalised groups.
Community Enrichment
Creating a culture of partnership and collaboration within local communities by partnering with key stakeholders to help us deliver social value.
This includes working closely with communities and their services to identify and develop key assets and programmes that leave a lasting legacy for the community and people who live there.
Maximising Performance
To maximise our positive impact through robust and accountable reporting.
This includes ensuring our methods for capturing impact are transparent and diverse to effectively communicate the value of our activity, as well as ensuring social value is engaged with and championed across our group.
Documents
We are committed to the highest standards of corporate citizenship and recognise our responsibility to our staff, clients and the members of the communities in which we work. We aim to make a real positive difference in everything we do.
Reaching out to the community
One of the key ways in which we help is by reaching out to our local communities through charitable work, sponsorships and refurbishment programmes. From engaging with young people to charity skydiving, we invest as much time and resources as we can in the communities that live locally to our projects and operations.
Our latest community project
We are currently undertaking works for Govanhill Housing Association. As part of this refurbishment project we delivered a Health & Safety talk to local Annette Street primary school. The objective being to increase safety awareness for children of the construction works taking place nearby. We also ran a competition to further enhance their engagement in this initiative.
We are committed to the highest standards of health and safety and have well developed training, operating and supervisory systems in place to ensure that safe working conditions exist across our operations.
Our Commitment to Health and Safety
Health and safety is our number one concern, both for our staff, supply chain partners, clients and for the general public. We therefore work tirelessly to achieve safe working conditions and to continuously improve our standards of health and safety.
A comprehensive H&S policy
It is our stated policy to ensure that all our work locations are safe and that all our work practices conform to H&S best practice. This policy extends from our offices to our project sites and includes all journeys made as part of our business. Our commitment covers all staff, contractors, suppliers and the general public who may come into contact with our work activities. Overall, we champion a Valuing Life culture, which we consider as being crucial to the overall success of the Company. We undertake regular reviews of our safety policy and instigate improvement, as necessary.

Putting our policies into practice
To deliver safe working for all, we ensure that our H&S teams have all the resources and support they need. For each piece of work we undertake, we first identify the risks inherent in the project and then set out clear procedures for the project’s safe management. We also operate a 24-hour confidential health and safety helpline providing sensible safety solutions and advice.
Proactive H&S systems and training
Our SSIP accredited Safety Management System provides the cornerstone of our Valuing Life commitment and ensures compliance with all current legislation and standards. The system is complemented by our in-house H&S training team, which delivers CITB, IOSH and ROSPA-accredited training, alongside UKATA-certified courses designed to provide the knowledge and information people need to implement accident-free work environments.
We are committed to delivering the highest quality products and services and to continually enhancing all aspects of our performance. Our QMS policy sets out how we monitor and measure performance and identify opportunities for improvements.
We recognise our responsibility to the environment and are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations. We work with our staff, clients and suppliers to achieve this important goal.
Our Commitment to the Environment
As an ISO 14001 accredited organisation we recognise the vital importance of business sustainability and we take a wide range of measures to reduce the environmental impact of all of our operations. Our efforts centre around site waste management, transport, saving energy and using materials from sustainable sources.
Working across the organisation
We encourage all of our employee, contractors and suppliers to develop initiatives that improve our environmental performance. We also devote the necessary resources, in terms of communications, support and training, to ensure that this happens. For example, we have an ongoing programme training our project managers as approved Ska Assessors. SKA rating is an environmental assessment method, benchmark and standard for non-domestic fit-outs, led and owned by RICS.
Comprehensive policies and action
We have specific environmental policies that cover all key aspects of our operations, including energy and resource use, waste minimization and the control of any emissions or effluents that may cause environmental damage. From driving our vans in the most fuel-efficient way possible to carrying out sustainability reviews on our projects, we always go the extra mile for our environment. We also have procedures that ensure compliance with all relevant environmental laws, regulations and codes of practice.

Meeting our environmental targets

To keep track of progress, and to ensure that we are meeting our goals, we regularly monitor the environmental performance of our overall organisation.
We place the highest priority on equality in our dealings with our staff, clients, suppliers and subcontractors. Our policy ensures that all our relationships are fair, open, transparent and honest.
